The Printmaking Workshop: Experimental Lithography 2/3/27
Explore various lithography methods in this fun and fast-moving workshop. Taking the lithographic principal that oil and water repel each other, we will apply that principal to paper, pronto plate, and wood lithography. While lithography is originally created on and printed from limestone, the processes we will explore in this workshop are a modern take on the traditional lithographic method. Lithography is a great medium to incorporate photographic elements into an image as well as linear designs.
Skills include: Developing highly graphic, layered images through the exploration of a variety of lithographic techniques. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Guest Instructor: Seattle artist Christi Birchfield.
