Work With Us

How does it work, Piano Nobile?

Each project begins with a complimentary house call.

This is our opportunity to meet you in person, hear about your ideas, and learn more about your home, property, or project. Our first meeting results in a proposal and cost estimate, all of which is complimentary and without obligation.

Many clients come to us with multiple overlapping project ideas. It often helps to step back, develop a master plan, and establish a broader timeline before moving forward.

What is a typical timeline for Piano Nobile architectural projects?

Your project develops over four phases: Proposal and Planning, Design Development and Permitting, Construction Administration, and Furniture and Finishes. You can read more about each phase here.

Commercial projects follow a similar sequence. Projects focused exclusively on furniture, furnishings, and finishes follow a similar process as well, although they may not require permitting.

What is a typical timeline for landscape design projects, independent from residential architecture?

Landscape design projects follow a similar timeline to our residential projects. The primary difference is that the Construction Administration phase is broken into seasons for planting.

It is common for installation of a garden to take place over one to two years, during which time we continue to monitor plant growth and oversee subsequent waves of planting. It is a beautiful, slow process that is deeply rewarding.

You can see a detailed timeline for landscape design here.
