The Cyanotype Workshop: Printing on Cotton 6/6/26

The Cyanotype Workshop: Printing on Cotton 6/6/26
Create amazing art with shadows! In this workshop, we will explore the magic of cyanotype printing. This historic art form is fun, kid-safe, and full of creative possibilities for artists of all ages!
Using plants and an array of other cool objects, we’ll play with shadow shapes. (You’re also welcome to bring personal objects, such as toys or leaves from your home garden, to add to your artwork!) We’ll assemble shadow collages, creating patterns and scenes for our prints. Along the way, we’ll think about silhouettes, and how light and shadow behave.
Each participant will create two gorgeous archival prints on 100% cotton watercolor paper, then one more on a cyanotype-printed pencil pouch. Everyone will depart with a booklet of guidance for making more cyanotypes at home!
If the weather permits, we will go outside to make your Cyanotype prints!
No prior experience necessary. Skills include: composing a pattern, printing and harnessing the power of the use. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
