Transform your photos into beautiful, handmade cyanotype prints! You’ll get acquainted with this historic process, create one-of-a-kind prints on fine art papers, and learn how to continue your cyanotype adventures at home.
No prior experience necessary. Skills include: the basic Cyanotype method, tips for making negatives at home, how to choose the right paper for your image, different techniques for coating your paper, getting a good exposure, and how to capture more photos that will make great cyanotypes. We’ll also talk about advanced techniques like toning to different colors, as well as printmaking on fabric.
Each student will take home three negative transparencies of their photos to use in future printmaking, as well as your finished pieces.
