PIANO NOBILE is an Italian term we first heard in Venice, where life and work take place a few steps above sea level, on the second floor. We take our name from the upstairs studio where we began.

OUR PROCESS
We create innovative, practical, intelligent, and beautiful solutions through collaboration. In the studio and in the field we combine disparate techniques appropriate to each distinct project, from drafting to painting, welding to printmaking.
OUR MATERIALS
Throughout design and production we use all-natural, sustainable materials whenever possible, whether we are creating small edition prints on organic cotton, designing a suite of dining room chairs, crafting delicate links in a bracelet, or constructing a site-sensitive plan for a green home.
